The HIFU treatment procedure takes place in San Javier Hospital Marina. San Javier Hospital Marina has fulfilled the requirements set forth by the Mexican General Board of Health under the "National Medical Care Establishments Certification Program"; therefore, the hospital has been Certified as Specialty Hospital, effective as of June 1, 2000. The National Hospital Certification Program is an instrument created by the Consejo de Salubridad General de Mexico (Mexican General Board of Health) which purpose is that of guaranteeing healthcare services quality. This program is applied to public and private healthcare facilities based on the evaluation of aspects such as: human resources, physical facilities, medical equipment, technical equipment, organization and procedures; and a series of criteria that support that facilities under this program meet the standards, guidelines and acknowledgements of the Board.
